A score for every event, the gap to pass, your CFT, body composition and the scoring chart.
Why use it
Know your score
Enter your deadlift, push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank and two-mile run and get points per event, your total, and a pass or fail.
Find your gap
See how many pounds, reps or seconds you are short of the passing standard on each event, so you know what to train.
See how your performance changes over time
Every test you save is added to your history, so you can see which events are improving and which have stalled. Progress charts are part of Pro.
How the AFT is scored
The Army Fitness Test (AFT) replaced the ACFT in June 2025. It has five events: the 3-rep max deadlift, hand-release push-up, sprint-drag-carry, plank and two-mile run. Each is worth up to 100 points, for a maximum of 500.
There are two standards. The General standard is scored by sex and age group, and needs 60 points on every event. The Combat standard, used by combat MOSs such as 11B and 19D, needs 350 points in total with at least 60 on every event, and is the same for men and women. The app has an MOS lookup if you are not sure which applies. If you cannot run, the walk, bike, swim and row alternates are scored GO or NO-GO.
CFT and body composition
The Combat Field Test (CFT) is a seven-event continuous test with a 30:00 time standard. Log the total, or each event as you finish it. Body composition is the waist-to-height ratio, and a ratio under 0.55 passes. The app works it out from your height and waist, and shows the largest passing waist at your height.
Free, with an optional subscription
The app is free to start and shows your five most recent results of each test. Army Fitness Pro adds unlimited history, progress charts, and backup and sync across devices. If you used our old Army PRT app, your APFT and tape-test history is kept.
Your scores stay on your phone unless you turn on sync. Looking for another service? See our military fitness test apps.
